By Patricia Hunting The idea for BAGT’s new Solutionaries Speak webcast series evolved from only educating our interns to sharing the actions of climate heroes with a wider online audience. Our new interview series highlights what these necessary and beneficial individuals and organizations are doing to promote healthy living practices, tackle issues to halt the climate crisis, and find positive solutions to urgent environmental problems. We are currently lining up the same local partners we frequently visited when we conducted our pre-COVID in-person tours. With Covid-19 ending all possibilities of live tours for the foreseeable future, BAGT pivoted to a virtual format giving us a chance to now reach an unlimited audience! Our virtual tours, webinars, and team building programs provide BAGT with a global, virtual stage to showcase and share the innovative and fabulous practices of our beloved solutionaries. Our new virtual formats will enable us to reach new audiences highlighting solutions for a healthier planet such as regenerative farming, zero waste, and food conservation. Solutionaries Speak includes partners such as Stopwaste, NorCal Resilience, and Urban Ore, to our farming friends at Frog Hollow, Markegard, Pie Ranch, Singing Frogs Farm, 3 Springs Farm, River Dog, and Capay Mills. Although virtual, BAGT’s mission lives on: we create interactive tours and experiences highlighting the sustainable economy in action, to inspire and educate youth and adults to build a more enduring, resilient, and just future. We use education to encourage others to embrace healthier choices and ways of living in a planet-friendly way. Even if we can eventually return to in-person tours, the demand for virtual programming is here to stay. Now we can reach those outside Northern California, seniors who are home-bound, and anyone without transportation or funds for in-person tours. A virtual platform is an easy solution to these limitations. If you agree, we’d love your support! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did You Know… Bay Area Green Tours is 100% volunteer-led?
