The workspace is packed with cutting-edge tools, equipment, and computers loaded with design software featuring the Autodesk Design Suite and 3D printing. Ridesharing has taken off since the advent of the smartphone; the trust of its users is a model of the sharing economy. San Francisco is the birthplace of several shared transportation companies, including Sidecar, Uber, and Lyft. We will visit one of the companies in this fast-growing sector.

The Bay Area has bike stations in several locations. Bikes can be rented for any amount of time and returned at many locations. Sharing bikes this way is easy and cheap if you don’t need a bike every day.

Dine in style at the San Francisco Ferry Building, the primal portal of the city famous for its dramatic clock tower that has been the icon of San Francisco waterfront for more than a 100 years. From Vietnamese street food to oyster bars, handmade empanadas to good old cheeseburgers, and weekly farmers markets, Ferry Building’s Marketplace has something for everybody.

The Market is not just a grocery store but a community working to bring people together to enjoy a variety of high-quality locally-sourced foods and freshly prepared meals. They work with local farmers and feature the best California cuisine with seasonal ingredients. Home to a dozen individual food vendors serving tacos, tapas, sandwiches, sushi, salads, Malaysian food, pizza, chocolate, coffee, and even a bar!
