Join Bay Area Green Tours and the Marin Agricultural Land Trust on a lush “Farm-to-Fork” Tour of beautiful West Marin. If you haven’t had the chance to see the green rolling hills and outrageous wildflower displays yet – now is your chance! Instead of going to the farmer’s market this Saturday, why not just shop at the farms and ranches and meet the fine people who supply your food?
Check out our variety of farm stops and let the farmers show you how tomatoes, sweet peppers, eggplants, and more are grown organically. They also set aside portions of their land to grow native plants, providing habitat for beneficial birds, insects and animals. We’ll have lunch on the grounds of a lovely 585-acre Red Hill Ranch, dining on the lawn next to their late 1800’s Victorian-era farmhouse built of redwood. Lastly, we will learn how grass-fed beef and lamb are raised in Tomales, just miles from the ocean.
Travel through beautiful West Marin with other like-minded locavores. Come join us to see, feel, and taste the benefits of organic farming and ranching.
