Lying across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco, the East Bay consists primarily of Contra Costa County and Alameda County. Oakland, the area’s largest city, is famous for its somewhat smaller Chinatown and its beautiful waterfront Jack London Square, as well as its large port and eucalyptus-spotted hills. Berkeley, just north of Oakland, is home to the University of California and tens of thousands of students, as well as left-leaning politics and great food. Here are some of the Tours we currently offer in San Francisco:
On the bay side of the hills in the west, the cities of Berkeley, Oakland, San Leandro and Hayward rise from the edge of the San Francisco Bay up the western face of the foothills. The climate tends to be temperate, the culture diverse and the traffic horrendous.
“I believe that even my 85 year old cousin, who was determined to learn nothing, was deeply moved. She hasn’t been able to stop talking about it!! I continue to believe that it will inspire all of us – and those we touch to make our homes, our businesses and our communities more sustainable! Not only do we leave with concrete resources, ideas and connections – but we leave with our minds energized, dreaming of new possibilities. with my deepest appreciation.” –Vivien Feyer, Jewelry Designer and Photographer
“No one else is doing this, and Bay Area Green Tours is doing it with passion, purpose, and talent.” – Eric Pomert, Chef, Founder Little Spoons Café.
