These experiences explore sustainable agriculture and food justice issues in the Bay Area, one of the major hubs of urban agriculture and food justice. We can visit community gardens, markets cooperatives and kitchens and youth training programs. Participants will learn the ways in which food justice affects communities when addressing concerns about food access, jobs, policy and education. The participants will have a unique opportunity to engage with progressive leaders who are strengthening our local foodshed. We offer experiences in two major regions, click below for each destination.
